Rostrodons are agile predators, normally scavengers, they will attempt to hunt smaller to meduim sized prey. They rarely congregate in large numbers aside from feeding off of large carrion or during mating, otherwise they'll travel in small packs of 2 to 4 individuals. Their throat sacs and feathers are used to communicate amoungst themselves. The bright iridescent feathers on their necks will flash aggressively during threat displays or as a warning. During courtship these feather will flutter, flashing the colours along with inflating their throat sacs and sway their tails which are lined with quills that also displays bright colours.
